Re-opening Schedule

Home >> Re-opening Schedule

We are thrilled that the government has laid out plans for an easing of lockdown restrictions and have included zoos and other outdoor attractions in the roadmap for Step 2.

This means that we have been able to begin the process of working out the best way to re-open safely whilst welcoming back visitors and our valued supporters to the centre.

After reviewing the updated guidance published by the government and industry regulators, we have taken the decision to remain closed until the commencement of Step 3 (i.e. the 17th of May.)

Although attractions such as ours may begin to re-open from the 12th of April, certain activities are still subject to restrictions. In short, this means that we are unable to commence flying demonstrations at this time.

As many of our visitors would agree, the flying demonstration is one our centre’s biggest draws – so much so that many are prepared to travel from all around just to see it! Without it, we feel the overall experience would be diminished and to actively encourage people to visit at this time would be in bad faith.

We understand that many would be more than happy to visit even without the promise of a flying display, but we have decided our resources would be better placed in carrying out additional maintenance and preparing for a later re-opening date. This way, we can offer all of our visitors the opportunity to see the centre at its best! Until then, we are exploring how we can bring the centre to you virtually, so keep an eye on our Facebook page for more details.

If you have unused admission tickets or experience vouchers – don’t worry! We will ensure that all of our guests have adequate time to use them.

A summary of what to expect as we re-open can be found in the schedule below. Note that this may change if any stage of the roadmap is postponed.
